A welcome move by India on the Intellectual Property Rights with US.

India and the US have signed an agreement on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) on a knowledge-sharing basis that doesn’t involve the implementation of any laws yet. This agreement which also includes patents and copyrights will enhance the IPR systems between both countries wherein officials from one country will be able to study the IPR systems of another country. As India slipped to 40th position on the US chamber’s International IP rights, this agreement will reduce the trade barriers between these two countries. This will help industries like pharma, agriculture, technology and many more business domains.
